General

Pluracare® E 400 NF is polyethylene glycol (PEG), a polymer of ethylene oxide. It acts mainly as a solvent and solubilizer for a vast number of substances that are only sparingly soluble in water, e.g., essential oils and active ingredients. It also upports rheology (viscosity increase, dimensional stability of toothpaste) by improving body and foam texture/mouthfeel, supports shine and a glossy surface of toothpaste/gel and acts as a humectant.
